Birthday cards #46 AAA BIRTHDAY

Namaste, welcome to my space and i am here to share my cards for AAA BIRTHDAY challenge for february. Please make note that AAA birthday challenge is now monthly challenge it starts on 1st of the month. The theme is to use stencil. For more details visit here.

I literally struggled to make tjesecards. My plan was to ink blend but most of my inkpads are dry so i couldnt as i didnt get the right colour combination i wanted. So at the end i used embossing paste and embossing powder to make my card front.

I used wow embossing powders for the cards. Btw i have those die cut pieces which for sure you will see son in my posts on Instagram. @thedreampages1021

After joining AAA BIRTHDAY challenges i have kept few birthday sets in my reach so i can grab them quickly while making cards.. Thats why you see few sentiments again and again..

Hope you liked my cards, let me know which colour combination you liked. I hope you will join us at AAA BIRTHDAY challenges. Stay safe and keep crafting.

Thank you

Atsm Make your mark

Namaste, welcome to my blog. Here I am sharing a new card for ATSM Make your mark challenge, stencils were and are always my favourite tool to use and technique to try. Click the link for more information on the challenge, rules and inspiration here

I am actually loving card challenges now a days. They keep me creative and think a little extra.

I made 2 cards with same design n supplies. I used hefty doodle stencil n applied embossing paste on it n then poured wow embossing powder, I wanted that extra raised design. I heat set it. Used mft die n applies few coats of embossing powder to achieve that chipboard look.

Then the card was very easy, but sentiment placement was too hard for me. Let me know where you would place sentiments? Now let’s have look at my cards..

Thank you for your time.

Now coming to my post. I made these festive envelopes for the festival of Light – Deepavali. We recently celebrated this festival here in INDIA. Its a festival of light, its celebration of colours, its celebration of victory over evil.

I used premade enelopes from Craftigenious and stencil from HNDMD, mirror cardstock from Die cuts and more, are Indian brands with high quality products. I know all owners and they are so kind and awesome.

These are belly band envelopes. For flap I used die from Creative expressions.

I hope you liked them as much as I loved creating them.

Tags for the change

Namaste.. welcome to my post for new challenge at Happy little stampers. I am so excited to join Stencil challenge for this term. So to mark new beginning I thought of making tags instead of card.

Visit challenge blog here for more details.

I coloured these flowers with brustro water colours, fussy cut them. I thought of making tags this time. Flower images are from Altenew and stencils are from sss, sentiment from sss.

I loved these, may be I make a lot of tags in coming days..

Which is your favourite among both tags.

One stencil 3 cards

Namaste, everyone..

Welcome back to a new challenge at Happy little stampers Stencil challenge. This calendar year I made my mind to make more than one card while supplies are out. So made 3 cards with one stenciled background I created.

These are cards I made for Anything goes with Stencils. Click here for challenge post.

For my set of cards I used Expressions craft stencil. I loved the design of this stencil. Its so beautiful. I mixed Inka gold with embossing paste and applied through stencil. I let the panel to dry and then trimmed to make a card. Then I didnt feel like leaving left over pieces so made two more cards. Let me know in comments which one is your favorite among 3.

HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS – ONE STENCIL 3 CARDS

Namaste everyone..

Swapna here for HLS stencil challenge. I am so exited to be back with HLS and with Stencil team. So this space will be filled with all my stencil experiments for a while. So lets get started. The challenge is ANYTHING GOES with stencil.

Initially I thought of taking different stencil every month and play with new technique every month. Then I thought of challenging myself a bit more and adding an Indian festival with my each post.

So I will be briefing a little bit about the festival on which the card set is made.

This is month of January and during this month around 14 or 15th comes Makar Sankranti or Lohri (There were actually 5 calenders which Hindus fallowed and this is the only festival which celebrated by the Solar calendar) . This is actually the time of season change from winter to summer, when sun rays start falling directly on Tropic of cancer from Tropic of Capricorn. This festival is celebrated by sharing Gingelly seeds and Jaggery, gingelly seeds to nourish the body which has lost a lot of moisture during winter and jaggery to cutdown the bitterness of gingelly seeds. Jaggery or Sugar cane is in particular as its the crop of this time.

So coming to my card. The colours are bright to depict Sun. The design in stencil depicts my way of telling earth movement and change from Winter to Summer. Sentiment says Good wishes in Sanskrit. I made one more card with same sentiment but in Kannada sentiment.

Now comes the second festival/event which is related to this Astronomical phenomenon. Sankranti marks the process of change(as earth is a huge body it takes some days for it) and end of it marks RATH SAPTAMI, Ratha means Chariot Saptami means 7th day of the month, generally we say Sun climbed chariot which means beginning of Summer . Its on 19th of February.

Coming to my card now, actually its my favorite among 3. The center image is heat embossed and it depicts sun being supreme and the matted label depicts chariot. The embossed background says transition.

I hope you liked my little effort in using my craft supplies to celebrate festivals. If you liked this effort and wish me to continue this series please let me know in comments. I will try my best to do so.

Stencil mania

Hi… Crafty friends…

Here I am with my first post of the month for Peek-a-boo designs. This moth challenge is  colour inspiration.

Use 3 or more colours from the inspiration picture and link in the challenge post. We would love to see your creations with Peek-a-boo designs for the challenge.
Now coming to my post for the day. I am sharing 3 cards with stencils which released last month. Tried to make Masculine cards which are hard to make (as people say) .
Card #1 –
* I used BOX-tacular stencil.
* I used few distress inks to blend.
* I placed the stencil and blended orange shade colours first then off set the stencil to blend next set of colours.
* Heat embossed the sentiment. Kept the background pretty simple.
Card #2
Men play the role of angel in our life. As father, as brother and as husband then why can’t we give them an angle card?
* Its a double fold card.
* I die cut a blue CS with the large stitched oval die and white CS with second largest stitched oval die.
* I placed the white oval on regular card base and blended distress inks very lightly for subtle background.
* Glued the smaller oval die cut on navy blue oval and glued it on open side of the card base. Stamped a fairy in black ink.
* Die cut the word with white and heat embossed it with gold UTEE for more dimension, backed it with black diecut word and glued on the card front.

Card #3
Its a simple one layer card and sneak peek of my next post.
* I liked this stencil but i wanted only little portion of the stencil.
* I selected the area i want on the card, placed it on card front and masked off the remaining area with masking tape/low tacky tape/washi tape.
* Blended distress inks from darker green to yellow.
* Stamped the sentiment with grey ink so that it doesn’t over power the leaves.

I hope you liked these cards..
