Chemistry with MFT for HLS water colour challenge – April 23

Namaste, welcome to my blog for April 23 water colour challenge. The theme of the challenge is Die cut. I actually wanted to use this cute set so made 2 cards. For more information on challenge and rules please visit here.

I loved these cute images from MFT and i coloured them with Zig markers. I wanted to keep the card simple with minimal layers. Used co-ordinating card base and didtress inks to blend on front panel. Sentiments are from Unenviable chemistry, i used essential speech bubble die for sentiments.

I also added few die cuts and stamped few images on the card front for texture and interest.

Thank you for visiting.. Let me know which one you liked among the two..

Hls water colour challenge – March 2023

Namaste, welcome to my blog. We at HLS challenges had 2 months vacation and now we are back with new challenges. This month its Anything goes- Wings, for more details about challenge you can visit link.

Previously i coloured alot of images. I am not a person who keeps elements ready and make as and when needed. It feels too much for me and drains my creativity. But after becoming mother my son taught me its BETTER TO BE READY THAN BEING SORRY. So i stamp and colour images whenever possible.

And for 2023 i have decided to make atleast 2 cards instead of making one. So its a good way to try 2 designs with similar elements. So to make these cards i just had to arrange elements as everything was ready.

Which card you liked? I loved the brightness of these cards. I so struggle with keeping everything white.

Hello friends.. Swapna here.. Its time for new challenge at Addicted to stamps and more. And the theme is everyone’s favourite “Anything goes”. Click here for more details and inspiration from other dt members..

Here is my take on the challenge.

  • I stamped images from MFT party like pirates and coloured with prisma pencils.
  • Fussy cut the images.
  • I prepped the panel by ink blending with distress inks in brown shades.
  • I used blue shades to ink blend on another panel.
  • I used dies to cut the brown panel and made waves, clouds with border dies.
  • Then foam mounted the brown panel on white card base.
  • Cloud and wave pieces are glued flat.
  • Arranged images on the card front.
  • Stamped sentiment and few birds.
  • That finishes my card.

I recently bought these two sets and I was desperate to use them So I combined both on this card. I used Avery Elle die and water coloured it with blue shades, i added few stars in black and added few white paint splatters. The bunny is coloured with Prisma pencils. The tag is foam mounted on the card base.

Here is the closer look at the starry sky I made.

Off lately building my patience to colour with pencils.
