Bright colours for HLS June 23

Namaste, welcome to new calendar month and new challenge at HLS water colour challenge. This month the challenge is to use cue word BRIGHT. Click here to learn more abput challenge rules and inspiration.

I stamped image from SSS and coloured with Zig markers. First lets talk a little about behind the screen, when i actually read challenge theme i was bit confused as how to execute the word BRIGHT in card. Then few of my fellow team members suggested me to use fun bright summer colours and I hate summer, i just dont like it. So nothing striked to me then at the end i had to clean my mind, unlearn definition of BRIGHT and go to pintrest for colour suggestions.

Now coming back to my card, i fussy cut the floral image along one side and stamped a small sentiment at one end. Then foam mounted the coloured panel on embossed card base.

Hope my card justifies the word BRIGHT. What do you think,? let me know in the comment..

Thank you

A Beautiful Friend – HLS May 23

Namaste, welcome to my blog and its that time of month where we start new challenge at HLS die challenge. Its Anything goes with dies. So what are waiting for lets get crafty and enter HERE.

I bought these spellbinders die few months back and never had a chance to use them. So thought will use now. They say these mini slimline dies but the card is of slim card. Thats of bit surprising for me. Yes i did check product description still didnt think it will this big. Anyway i loved the card at the end of the day and that what matters. Isnt it?

I started with the sentient and then worked my way out to finish the card. I really took long time to finish this card as such layered card is not my place.

I embellished the card with tiny flowers from spellbinders. Love how those tiny flowers add so much interest to the card. I also dry embossed the white panel in the background with spellbinders embossing folder.

For every blue layer i added a golden die cut to add shadow and interst to the card design.

Did you like my new style in cards? let me know..

Thank you

Coloured floral card – HLS die cut challenge

Namaste, welcome to my blog. I made a simple floral card for the challenge. For more details about the challenge you need to visit blog.

I coloured a floral image with alcohol markers. I placed the die cut floral panel on a die cut background.

I am loving alcohol markers, i am bit sensitive to alcohol odour/fumes so I always avoided using them. So now i just sit in balcony with fan on while colouring.. 🤭

I love this cross stitch bacgrond from paper smooches.
Not perfect blending but will keep trying.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope to see you in challenge entries.

I am really challenging myself for using more and more dies in my card designs and less of stamping. I made a layered card for this month’s challenge.

I used spellbinders dies for background design. Flowers and flourishes are from Heartfelt creations. Sentiment from Hero arts.

Happy birthday – HLS stencil challenge – June

Namaste everyone. . Hope you all doing good being safe. Its time for new stencil challenge at Happy little stampers and theme is ANYTHING GOES with stencil. For more details on challenge visit hls blog.

Coming to my card. I am not a person who keeps embelishmets ready for future projects and over the time I had collected lot of (a bowl) of die cuts so thought i will put them into use.

It was really a quick card I just kept stacking all the diecuts on each other. I clear heat embossed top layer to add some interest. I used SSS stencil with black soot distress oxide ink. Sentent is also from SSS set.

Love the effect of clear heat embossing on die cuts.

Let me know how you feel about this card.

One background two cards – Hls water colour challenge – June

Namaste. . Welcome to my post for HLS water colour challenge for the month of June. I CASEd this card from one of my earlier card. I loved that card so much that I made one more.

Visit HLS blog for more details on rules. The theme is anything goes with water colours.

Coming to my cards. I used Hero arys background stamp and gold heat embossed it on a water colour cardstock. Scribbled two grey colour zig markes, lighter towards centre and heavier towards edges. Spayed gold shimmer to blend colours.

For first card trimmed panel with a2 rectangle die and two heart dies from Hero arts. Foam mounted whole panel on an orange card base. Sentiment is from hero arts again and gold heat embossed on black.

Here is a closer look at sll that shimmer.

For second card i used a cover plate die from Wplus9 for background. Heat embossed sentiment from waffle flower on a vellum and glued heart shape on it, trimmed around edges. Added a vellum n white strip to rest me sentiment on the card.

So happy i used th left over too, but it doesn’t look its left over.

Let me know which i your favourite card among two.
