Namaste everyone.. Welcome to my blog. Today is a new challenge at Addicted to stamps and more and challenge is Birthday. Foe more details on the challenge and more inspiration click HERE
I made a simple red and golf birthday card using SSS screen elements die. This die is in my collection from so many years and I never used it. So thought why not challenge self and make a card.
I die cut the heart shape from white card front and mirror card stack. Glued both a little off set so that gold peeks out. Then foam mounted the panel on a red card base. I ran the card front through die cut machine using Little inker designs die. Which adds a little iinterest to the back ground.
Sentiment is from SSS and i gold heat embossed it and added glod mirror cs as mat.
Thank you for visiting and hope to see you participate in the challenge..

Coming to my take on the challenge
I first secured a water colour paper on a card board o avoid warping as I had planned to use lots of water.
I stamped a background image with versamark ink and gold heat embossed the image.
Then I scribbled few colours on the panel with my zig markers.
Then I sprayed water so that colour moves and blends of its own.
Left the panel to air dry.
Then trimmed the panel into two card fronts.
Foam mounted panel on a red card base.
Heat embossed sentiment and die cut it out.
Matted it with one size big Vellum circle and foam mounted on the card.

This is my card for the challenge. Over the year I collected alot of critter sets and suddenl I fell in love with florals. So I am waiting to fall back in love with critter sets so that I can use them. Till then I will use my floral sets.
I used Altenew Beautiful day set and stamped images with various Altenew inks.
Die cut them with coordinating dies.
I prepped the card base by putting down light wash of green colour. Then added few splatters of green, pink n black colours.
Arranged my florals to one corner.
Sentiment is from SSS which was cut to strip and matted on light grey CAS.
Flowers were foam mounted where as leaves were glued flat.
Love how those splatters and light wash of colour adds interest. I also added few clear droplets.
