Deepavali in January with CIC#511

Namaste everyone

Hope and wishing everyone is fine and doing good. Today I am sharing a festive card with you all. Yes I am making cards for Deepavali which will be in November this year. I thought of making one card each month for Deepavali so that by the end of october I will be having few cards in hand to send out.

So i combined this thought with Cupcake inspiration challenge #511 which is colour inspiration and its so festive. Lets get started.

I kept the card simple with no stamping. I used #dressmycraft paper pack and die from them. I chose few pattern paper strps from the pack, arranged and tore edges to give distress look. Matted with gold mirror cardstock and vellum. Foam mounted thi panel on the red/maron card base. And added KALASH at the centre and my card is ready.

Gold is so hard to photograph.
Isn’t it an awesome festive colour combination?

Thank you for joining do let me know your thoughts on my take of cic#511.

See you again with next post.

  1. I had to look up Deepavali Swapna as I’d not heard of it before, but of course I’ve heard of the festival of light. Your card is beautiful! I love the festive red and gold and the beautiful paisley pattern. The torn layers add to the impression of light bursting out too. Good for you getting ahead with your cards! Vicky x
